Introducing DeepAura

A studio for the leveled playing field. What DeepAura is, why it exists, and what's coming out of the lab first.

ASAmandeep Sandhu

Every black hole has an aura: the accretion disk, a ring of matter pulled in from everywhere, heated by its own speed until it outshines everything around it. It is the most visible thing in the universe, and it exists because of something you cannot see at all.

That felt like the right picture for what AI is doing to business right now. Something enormous and mostly invisible is pulling everyone toward the same point, and the people who learn to move with it are going to glow.

DeepAura is a studio built for that moment. It does three things.

1. We build products

DeepAura is a launchpad first. The best way to know what AI can and can't do for a business is to build businesses with it, so that's where most of the hours go. The first three out of the lab:

  • auraforms.ai: forms that hold a conversation. Every question adapts to the last answer, and you get structured, ready-to-act responses back.
  • roofsmith.ai: the AI back office for roofing contractors. Estimates, follow-ups and job ops, so crews can stay on roofs.
  • capabilities.sh: a directory of agent skills and MCP servers, plus a CLI that keeps your agent stack in sync across every tool and machine.

Each will get its own launch post here when it's ready.

2. We help teams put AI to work

Alongside the products, DeepAura works with a small number of teams at a time on two things:

  • Growth AI. AI across the whole funnel, from acquisition to retention and monetization. Not a chatbot on the homepage, but a system where every stage learns from the next.
  • AI Ops. Running the business from your favorite bot. Agents in Slack, Teams, ChatGPT or Claude, wired into the tools you already use, with a human in the loop wherever it matters.

The same two principles sit under both: systems thinking, because you have to fix the loop rather than the symptom, and a high bar of quality, because when everyone has the same models, craft is the only moat left.

3. We write it down

This blog is where the thinking happens in public: essays on where AI is taking business, playbooks you can steal, and honest notes on what worked and what didn't. It's styled like a changelog on purpose. Ideas ship in versions too.

Why now

For most of the history of business, gravity favored the big. More people, more capital, more software. AI pulls all three into a single point. A solo founder and a Fortune 500 now call the same models, at the same price, through the same APIs.

That doesn't make it easy. It makes it fair. What's left to compete on is clarity, judgment, taste and speed, and those are things anyone can build.

If you're building in that world, let's talk. And if you just want to follow along, the RSS feed is the best way to do it.

Welcome to DeepAura.
